Esta radiaci\u00f3n da cuenta de procesos f\u00edsicos de<br \/>baja energ\u00eda, correspondiente al universo fr\u00edo o muy distante, permitiendo explorar<br \/>regiones de alta riqueza qu\u00edmica y molecular que son fundamentales para la vida, as\u00ed como de fen\u00f3menos cosmol\u00f3gicos que revelan la naturaleza del universo primitivo. La enorme riqueza de informaci\u00f3n contenida en este rango del espectro electromagn\u00e9tico hace de la radioastronom\u00eda un pilar fundamental para la comprensi\u00f3n del Universo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Chile es un pa\u00eds privilegiado para la radioastronom\u00eda, especialmente en rangos de frecuencia milim\u00e9trica y submilim\u00e9trica, contando con cielos \u00fanicos por su bajo contenido de humedad. Esto ha motivado la instalaci\u00f3n de algunos de los radio-observatorios m\u00e1s importantes del mundo, tales como el Atacama Large Milimeter Array (ALMA).<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=&#8221;1_2&#8243; El telescopio consiste en tres antenas de aproximadamente 3 metros de di\u00e1metro capaces de funcionar conjuntamente como un interfer\u00f3metro de adici\u00f3n y de correlaci\u00f3n.
